Midlife Poet: "I have led a charmed and blessed life. Seeing that statement makes me smile. I have had a share of heartbreak, sorrow, pain, suffering, shame, devastation and tragedies, the lows of life, but I've also had my share of blessings which are too many to count or to list here. I am not wealthy by any stretch of the imagination, yet I am rich in so many ways. I am not young nor old, yet rich in years, in an abundance of love and life with the years of heartbreak, sorrow, pain, suffering, shame, devastation and tragedies adding texture to my life, layers of interest, some thick, some thin, some opaque, some transparent so the others can come through and be reviewed over the years whether or not welcome....And I thought then, 'What a blessed and charmed life I lead.' by Lynda Dunham Watkins"
